It’s little bit cloudy and sometime cloudy in Bali right now, but it’s not make some of travelers to cancel their holiday plan, i’m sure that . My friend that manage a Bali villas rental agency, told me that some villas has fully booked, and he have a little bit problem to find villas that still available for his clients, especially in this month.

Yes, this month is high season period in Bali, i’m sure not only hotels or resort that have high occupancy, but villas to be certain have high occupancy too. As i read in a one article in Internet, that Bali villas has been favorite accommodations for holiday, not only for abroad tourist, but also domestic tourist (where much tourism peoples call with ‘Indonesia Raya’) love to stay in private villas.

Seminyak is still the most favorite area, where they could reach everything easy. But travelers who like quite situation in heart of Balinese rural, they prefer to choice villas in Canggu or Ubud area. This’s a new trend in holiday accommodations, where travelers still have privacy like they stay in their home, escape but still connected!

In every holiday season in Bali, Seminyak villas are favorite accommodations for holiday rental. From high-end accommodations to old style, from high budget rental to low budget rental are easy to find in Seminyak area.

Seminyak is strategic area, where many night clubs, boutiques, fine dining restaurants, until extravagant spa could found in Seminyak. Despitefully, Seminyak location also just walking distance to the Legian, Oberoi or Petitenget Beach.

Talk about accommodations in Seminyak,especially villas which located in heart of Seminyak, some recommendation villas are :

I just read on a Bali blog website, that new villas already opened in Canggu area. Villa Sarasvati is new five bedrooms luxury villa located in Tegal Gundul village, just minutes driving to Berawa Beach and also only approximately half kilometers from Canggu Club.

Villa Sarasvati is part of Villas Dea Development, as like i posted before, Villa Sarasvati is next to Villa Dewi Sri. If Villa Dewi Sri has contemporary style, Villa Sarasvati is combination of contemporary with Javanese style of house with surrounded by stunning tropical garden. Villa Sarasvati has a bedroom with antique Javanese Joglo, where Joglo is a traditional Javanese house.

Talking about Joglo used in Bali Villas, in famous Seminyak, i known only Villa Des Indes used Joglo in their architecture, and also in Uluwatu, the ocean view Villa Khayangan Estate. Now, in Canggu area, i think only Villa Sarasvati has antique Joglo as a part of their architecture, although other villas in Canggu also have it, but i don’t know yet.

Another choices for lunch are Breeze at The Samaya, Blossom at Sentosa Villas, Gado-gado, Kafe Warisan, Warung Made Seminyak . But if you have plan to have exotic or romantic dinner, Ku De Ta is my recommendation! even Hu’u Bar also is plenty recommended.

Seminyak is not only a heaven for vacation rental but also for fine dinning restaurant, in such a way that Seminyak is the most favorite place for rental villas in Bali. If you have plan to have lunch in local restaurant with Indonesian cuisine, Warung Kolega and Sulawesi is my recommendation, indeed the prices also much cheaper than restaurants above.

Mr. Ismoyo also said that Bali Villa Association will do promotion to Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, and Australia and also will be maximize to explore local market.

As global crisis, Europe market and America market aren’t potential again, therefore they will optimize Asia market and local market where Australian market still favorite to them.  Mr. Ismoyo also said that villa business in Bali is still have good prospect, and many travelers has choice Bali villas as their holiday accommodation as they need more private holiday.

As per Mr. Ismoyo prediction, in 2009 villa business will be decrease , but he hope it will decrease not more than 10 percent. From record of BVA, villas visitor in Bali until 2008 is 90 percent foreign and 10 percent is domestic.  Be sides doing promotion, Bali Villa Association will evaluate and analize this condition for first three months.

I just walking around to accommodation websites, and found some of website using different term to figure out their service. Bed and breakfast, yes some websites using it as their term. Honestly, for me it sounds strange, as i only know accommodation term in hospitality only Hotel and villas, and in few months ago Bali villas are popular term in my opinion.

Back to the question, Bed and breakfast a bit like villas in Bali.  As wikipedia mention, bed and breakfast are private homes with only one or two bedrooms available for commercial use. But, i don’t know the services in B&B, as in Bali villas the guests will get five star services in luxury property.

Yeah, whatever the term that we used, it’s another choices for our holiday accommodation if we’re looking another alternative than building hotels
